Young Adults transitioning to adulthood FOR AGES 18-23

Four Directions utilizes individual Life Skills Mentoring to orient new attendees to their assigned Life Skill Mentor and the program in general. Although most participants eventually acclimate to group life skills mentoring, ongoing individual mentoring may be a viable option for those requiring more intensive 1:1 services.

GROUP LIFE SKILLS MENTORING
Four Directions provides small group life skills mentoring on weekends and after school. The program allows participates to work on sharing goals in an atmosphere of positive peer influences and teamwork. Areas of focus include:

  • Health and wellness
  • Anger management
  • Self-esteem building
  • Transition to adulthood

Mentors work with client and the family to promote healthy relationships through positive, age-appropriate communications. Mentoring services are provided in the child and family’s community to strengthen access to natural supports and resources.

LIFE SKILLS WORKSHOPS
Four Directions Groups Life Skills Workshops are tailored to fit with children and family’s schedules on weekends, after-school,and during school breaks and vacations. This program allows children and young adults to work on shared goals in an atmosphere of positive peer influences and teamwork. Life Skills workshops can also utilize therapeutic respite services for families and caregivers in conjunction with our licensed residential program.
